Tomorrow is voting day for all Filipinos here in the country. Being a local citizen, we are free to express who we want to lead and protect us. You are responsible for your actions and who you put in the position. With only a few hours left before voting period, is everyone ready to cast? Here are voting tips we all should know on the election day:

Go to the your precinct station equipped with your ID and your list of candidates. This will make it easier for you to find where you will vote and it won’t take you a long time to decide what names to put in your ballot
Bring water, towel and fan. Expect long queues on this day.
Be responsible. Guard your vote. Also keep your eyes open to people who are vote buying.
Vote wisely!

As they say, “bata, matanda, may ngipin o wala, lahat may Facebook account na“. Facebook has been the world’s leading social networking site even before. Thankful to Mark Zuckerberg’s intelligence, we can now all connect with our loved ones abroad, and event those we haven’t seen in years-old friends, relatives, etc. This also gave way to help others who are in need-missing persons, and so on.

In line with this, many people have been asking about Mark Zuckerberg’s earnings. Here’s the breakdown of his salary according to AFP news:

Earned more than $2 billion worth of stock last year (2012)
Earned $503,000 in base pay (2012)
Was also given bonuses that added up to slightly more than $266,000
Received $1.22 million in “other compensation”

Been blogging about sprucing up our humble family area. In my latest posts in different blogs I’ve constantly been talking about how my husband and I are looking for ways to maximize every space of the area.

One of the things we are considering on having is a double-deck bed with lots of storage areas. Here’s a sample:

The design and the idea is very cool. Even every step of the staircase were used. Of course, this will eliminate the thought of purchasing another stuff, even if it’s one of the best selection of mixer lifts we need to have.

Appliance Review: Asahi Electric Fan

This Asahi electric fan has been inside my room for as long as I can remember. My mom gave it to me, I think around 1999, when I was still in high school. It is still working today. In fact, my baby is using it right now.
Wait! Let me compute..hmm.. almost 14 years! Everything changed already. From my room to my status, but still, this Asahi electric fan remains hanging on my wall doing what it’s supposed to do-giving cool air.

I guess Asahi is one of the most trusted brands when it comes to home appliances. Well, given the fact that my fan hasn’t let me down, not even a day. It didn’t even went through an appliance repair or anything. I just wash it with water and soap. Also, applied a touch of baby oil inside.

This year, I bought another fan, just in case this one decided to retire. I hope this will also last just as my Asahi did.

My husband and I are contemplating on buying a television for our family. One that will last and stand the long hours of watching and killing time (LOL!)

We’ve been looking around and scouting for a good television-a flat screen or an old school television maybe? Somewhat with corner tv stands or as simple as putting it on the floor.What do you think? Any recos on TV brand names we can look at?

I know China made tubes are not that promising. So we’ll scratch that out. LG..hmm? I hope they’d fit our budget, though. If you have any recommendations, shoot me a comment here. Thanks!

Taking On A New Leaf

I have been a virtual assistant for 2 years already and it has been a great pleasure for me to work with different clients over those times. I’ve learned so much when it comes to writing, doing basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and all. Last week, I was referred by my long time client to a friend…

We exchanged conversations and he gave me a rate that anyone cannot refuse. But I have to take things into consideration knowing I now have a baby to take care of. So, I shared my situation to him in all honestly and sincerity. Then I prayed for God’s hand upon this dilemma.

To my surprise, he emailed back. Letting me know of his thoughts, he understood my situation, being a father and all. And he gave me an interview form I have to answer and submit to him. Then, from there, we’ll see what will happen next.

Right now, I am undergoing a one-week training for him. My tasks include content writing and some research. I am learning new stuff and I like it. I love the idea of exploring website hosting, printing shop website, web development, website marketing, and all that goes along with it. Oh, did I say I am really enjoying this?

With God’s help, I hope and pray to pass this trial period.

In the Presence of Thieves

Last week, my mom and my brother agreed to get our garden fixed in preparation for the coming seasons. For 2 and a half days, the carpenters built a garden shade connected to our roof. The outcome was so cool!

But before they finish the project, the hubby opened up something to me. Something very bothering and scary. He had noticed it twice that a neighbor, who happens to have a very bad reputation of stealing from people, together with his friends were gathering in front of our gate. When they noticed that my husband was coming, they immediately left.

The second time happened just a week ago when we went to the clinic for the baby’s check up. Same situation. Same scenario. When they noticed that we were coming, someone waved to them and they left in an instant. Hmm…

I talked this out with my brother and my mom. They were alarmed and decided right away to get grills for our fence. So they talked with the carpenter and bought industrial supply and all that’s needed to set up grills for our fence.

I am so scared knowing that everyday, my baby and I are just left in the house. I just cannot imagine the things that can happen.

I pray everyday for our safety. That God would send His thousand angels to guide us…
