In the heart of Quezon City lies a shanty town in need of our help to bring at least a glimmer of light and hope in their homes. Filipinos are all aware of the Payatas Community, right? The former garbage disposal area located in the 2nd district of the City.

Isang Litrong Liwanag Campaign has been organized by MyShelter Foundation to help the people bring sustainable and green lighting technology in their houses. How? Let’s watch this:

Volunteers were assigned different tasks from organizing the materials, drilling of holes in the roof, up to the actual installation. The efforts of the community, together with the members of the media and other corporate partners gave hope to the once dark town.
